I need to do this alone, so just wondering if this tool works....I'd ask the spouse to help, but if something can go wrong, you know it will!

Definately works as advertised! I also purchased the cap specifcally for the GM vehicles and used it instead of the universal cap that it comes with. It all was much easier than I had expected.

Works great.
Just dont put brake fluid in the Motiv tank. Only in the MC.
also made my one cap
three way ice maker valve to relieve pressure in the MC before removing the cap

Thanks...now to find the best price. Also, I watched the youtube video and I am confused about the very last step. It says to let air into the master cylinder by opening the closest bleeder. Huh? Is this needed simply to prevent a spill when disconnecting the Motiv?

After using my neighbor's several times I just made my own from a small garden sprayer. The weak link with these is the cap and seal at the MC. If it fails you will have a huge mess FAST. The dedicated Motive Caps are great, the "universal" that clamps on......not so great.
I also bought replacement OEM MC caps and made my own for my pressure bleeder.

Burning Brakes
I built my own a couple of years ago using these plans for ~$30:

It worked great. The 10' of tubing is very handy as you're going from wheel-to-wheel.

Best / cleanest way to use the Motive --- do not fill the tank with fluid. Fill your MC to the top and attach the Motive cap. Pump up till you have 15 lbs of pressure then bleed one rear caliper. Check fluid level in MC, if OK, do the next rear caliper. Release pressure by opening top of motive. Fill MC and repeat process for the front calipers. Keep a watch on tank pressure and level of fluid in MC.
If you fill the Motive - it gets messy when you disconnect dripping fluid from hose, you have to siphon some fluid out of MC reservoir to bring level down, and excess fluid in tank is exposed to a lot of air before next usage.
The Motive truly makes brake bleeding a one person job. No more pissing off our wife asking her to sit in the car and pump the pedal while you bleed.
Google Motive bleeder to find the best price. I found a speed shop that was having a sale and got mine for 40% off list price.

haha...that's exactly what I was concerned about. I read a Mechanics Illustrated How-To on the subject, and it stated to find someone who will do exactly what you say, repeat it out loud, and patiently wait for the next command. I just about fell out of my chair thinking how this was gonna transpire with the wifey.
