In Dash Navigation System for C5
I purchased my first Corvette, a C5, six months ago and immediately started researching for an in dash navi unit. This forum was where I discovered Dennis and Double D Mods (608-568-3443), located in Wisconsin. Dennis wanted to send me the necessary parts and instructions to install a double din and navi unit. I told Dennis that at 59 years old I no longer had the desire to do the work myself and asked if he does installations. Dennis does, but as he pointed out, he is in Wisconsin and I am in California.
Well, I just returned from Wisconsin and Dennis is all that this forum has raved about and more. I arrived at Double D Mods in my C5 coated with road grim and caked with bugs. A day and half later I left Double D Mods with my in dash navi system. What I also received but did not pay for was a clean car, door panels that no longer squeaked/rattled and a lot less road noise.
Dennis loves Corvettes, loves what he does and does it very well. If you are looking for an in dash navi unit for your C5, look no further, Dennis is THE man. So, if you want him to do the install, The Hotel Julian, just 5 miles from Double D Mods in Dubuque, Iowa room 302 is the place to stay and of course Dennis will taxi you there and back, no charge.

I stopped in and saw Dennis on 8/13/12 and he mentioned someone from CA was coming to have some work done to their car. Must have been you. I agree, Dennis knows his stuff and takes care of his customers. Glad you got the work done and are happy with the results.

and to top it off, it must have all worked well as you got home. it sure does update the dash with a refreshed look. I still go out just to look at it and how well it fits together and looks like it came from the factory. Dennis has this down to an art and really knows these cars and treats each one like it was his.

Sweet jeebus, you drove from California for an installation? You do know that Dennis ships too, right? I got my bezel from Dennis and then had my installation done in San Jose. I expect Dennis does great work, but I am not driving 60 hours to get the work done!
