Default Any of your new CCWs ever arrive with flat tires?

I already had one issue where they told me they were shipping early last week but come to find out they had to be run through polish again. Now 2 of the tires, one front, one rear are completely flat. Has CCW slipped from what was once a great reputation? This happen to any of you?

I received my set a couple weeks ago and noticed that the passenger rear tire was under-inflated at about 20lbs. I filled it up and have had no problems since then.

I still haven't trained the new sensors because I need to find a strong magnet. At start up, I receive an error message on the DIC that the passenger rear tire is flat. I'm hoping this is a simple TPMS programming issue, however all the tires are checking in at 30 lbs. cold using my manual tire guage.

My only complaint is that I wish all four tires were mounted with the manufacture date on the outside sidewall. Since they are directional and wheel specific, I guess its an issue with the tire manufacturer (Hankook). I thought they passed a law recently where the date was supposed to be imprinted on both sides.

I can appreciate your frustration probably because you had such high expectations as I did.

Give John a call. I'm sure he will do the right thing.

It may just be a loose Valve Stem Core. If you have a Valve Stem Remover Tool, just take the cap off insert the tool and Tighten Clockwise. That may save u Time and Frustration.

Maybe they were just trying to cut shipping costs ?

I'm sure it's something minor

That is disapointing that they would come to you like that. What they do now is what is really important. If the reviews here are correct, I am sure they will treat you right.

They have great looking rims, but they tend not to tell you the truth . I ordered 19"11 for the back. Without telling me they sent me 19"11.5. He told me they didn't make a difference. They stick out slightly. They tend to lie to sell there rims .They have lost my respect and I will never recommend them to anyone. For being expensive rims came in crummy looking boxes. Chip was my sale person to.

Wow! This is disappointing seeing that I am planning on a set for my car. Please let us know that they made it right!

wow...suddenly a huge no-no on their part. Beginning to sound like the old IForged fiasco back in '05..... I'm convinced after all these years watching the wheel industry go through numerous changes, many companies falling by the wayside thus leaving guys shiit of luck for repairs/replacements, that the only one worth sinking big money into is HRE....just my 3 cents....best of luck to you guys, and welcome to the world of custom wheels.

This is not good news at all - I have always wanted a set of CCW wheels on my car but now - will really think hard about that. The customer service the OP is experiencing is not what I would expect from a relatively expensive wheel vendor.

I hope we are not suffering because I was told by a person I know that CCW's are now the hottest wheels on the VW and ricer cars. I spoke to John a while ago and he told me he couldn't keep wheels in stock with the VW crowd. I've never had a problem with CCW, I have them on my car, but I always have preferred to speak with John. I'd ask for him next time.

I've dealt with CCW and have nothing but great things to say about them and the quality of their wheels. Don't be so quick to point fingers, I am sure they will help you.

I worked with John on my set and he sent me pictures of other C5s with similar wheels/sizes to compare fitment, etc. He walked me through the tire options and also educated me on the new Michelin Super Sport tires and how the exterior trim band was designed for the Porsche 911 to prevent rim damage during servicing, etc. and how that design effects the C5 profile, etc.

He also explained the change to 11.5 rims vs 11 rims and we discussed all options. I ordered my wheels/tires/sensors package on 7/22 and received them on 7/27. However, I also live in Florida.

Sorry to hear your issue. Hope you get it figured out asap.

Mine were ready to mount on my car when I bought them 4.5 years ago.

I understand, maybe it is their fault. Either way, after personally dealing with CCW I am confident that they will help you any way they can. I don't think it's fair to create a thread basically bashing these guys for a mistake. There is only so much they can do over the phone. They offered to ship them back, did they not? I think that's pretty admirable.

On a side note the seals are pre-installed on the sensors, and I doubt they "forgot" to put them on. Sometimes those fancy chrome valve stem caps have a rubber O-ring in them that when over tightened can be forced down and push on the core which allows air to escape past.

So what's the status/resolution? Did you talk with John or did Chip help you? A Florida to California shipping resolution is not fun! I would think new wheels/tires shipped and then you can return your wheels/tires in the same boxes.

My wheels don't have sensors. Simple truth is they rushed the job with no QA in place. I had to ship them back.

this sucks sorry to hear about it. A little "I'm sorry that happened" can go along way... especially after you spend 4k and get that kinda response.
