I'm younger that you Scott, butnot too much and I have done all sorts of things to my 2003, but I drive it too. I'm retired and so I don't have to sit for hours in gridlock traffic jams, but the evenings and weekends are all mine and soon we're going ona lifelong trip all down the Blue Ridge Mountain Parkway and hopefully to catch the "Tail of the dragon" on a weekend. These are Great cars, I bought my first when I ws 18 in 1968 and only had it till I was drafted a year and a half later. But since then I've always had one, been a member of NCRS for a good long time and a member here and with my Corvette club, DVCC and have only recently joined them.

But these are the best days of our lives, Don't be afraid of the drive !

Thanks!

I didn't sneek a peek or anything either.

The "investment" I made in that decision saved me so much I can't tell ya.

She was flattered as all get out.

No, you're not alone. I've owned nine Vettes over the past 28 years and I still make excuses for going out in the garage and taking a peek at my car.

62 here
.. been a 3d artist for decades and recently retired

Always enjoy looking at a beatiful design,
ie: the P-51D, the Spit 9, the B-17g .. etc.

My C-5 fits that category .. just easy to look at,
amazing curves, form that follows function,
..just a damn fine automobile.

The icing is bein able to climb in and fire it up,
..grab a lil rubber into second off a lite ..
..get a thumbs up or comment almost anywhere

..even the Hooter's girls came out
to get a photo with it one fine day.
Wife was laughin about it

Still makes me smile every time I walk out to it,
because I know what's comin.

68 next month and can't get enough of mine, driving it and looking at it. Makes me feel good, real good. It's great to be old and driving a vette!

Absolutely know what you're talking about. I find myself looking out the window all the time at work and at home to see it. Waited a long time to get it and I'm sure going to enjoy it as much as possible. It may just be a car... But it is one hell of a car.

64 years young, on my 9th Vette. The "queen" is dusted every day, detailed once a week and shines like a diamond. I just go to the garage to look at it for a few minutes and then smile and go upstairs. I return within a short while. The good thing about getting older is you get up at night often. Not a problem, since the Vette smiles when I look at her

only 52 but, got to go out an take a look at my two girls a couple times a day. The 2000 hardtop is a bitch*n babe with 425 rwhp that love a lot of attention while the '89 vert is a sleek mistress w/ only 25K on the clock that only wish and only takes a small all amout of attention. Both are beauties in their own right, and I proud to have them both.

It's an addiction. I find the pride and excitement for car enthusiasts is similar to the excitement building up to a big vacation or something. You want to be around it, you want to talk about it. It's just more than a car to us. It's a feeling, a memory, a spirited drive. Whatever it is, it's linked to that beautiful machine. So, we stare. We admire the body lines and get sentimental about the perfect harmony of the visual and the audible -- the fusion of art and brute machine.

Answer your question, haha.

Very well put I solute you sir!
