Hah no I was actually sober while doing this fix, so nothing went wrong . I had a granatelli MAF on that the prior owner bought. Apperently they don't work to well so Doug put it back to stock. As per Doug's advice I am cleaning some carbon from my engine and am currently waiting for a new O2 sensor to be installed. This combined with the tune from ECS, my car is running better then when I bought it.

Hey Doug,

Jay here in Savannah, GA. Just want to say thanks for the time you spent on the phone with me a couple of weeks ago explaining things and offering suggested changes. You did a great job on the mail order tune for me, every works beautifully.
Not noticeably more powerful (mebbe a little) but I didn't really expect that; what it is is very precise and predictable to throttle input, shifting, T/C lockup. I get what I want when I ask the car for it and that makes it much more responsive; faster, and an absolute joy to drive anyway you want...almost uncanny! Combined with my new 2012 Z06 shocks and Z51 sway bars; my perfect street car!

I have PM'd back and forth with Doug from ECS on here a few times. I'm really looking forward to meeting him and his crew at Carisle on Friday and getting a tune. IDK what to expect difference wise from what I already can feel but hopefully it'll be noticable. Hopefully it holds me over until I can do my heads and cam install.

Haha well you won't be heads and cam happy, but it'll help. If you have mods you will be able to get the most out of them and you will feel your car run "smoother". I wouldn't say it is a whole new driving experience but was well worth it to get the car running like it should. The biggest benefit you will get by bringing your car to them is the ability to have them drive your car or put it on the dyno. This way they can point things out that may need to be addressed. I was so used to driving my car every day, I didn't notice the little sounds and what not it was making. Now that I fixed those things, I swear I'm in a new car. Drives smooth, and a lot more power released.

I know I won't be heads and cam happy...but for now I hope it'll wake things up some more. My FRC has no tune but the following mods: swiss cheesed air box, K&N drop in filter, Breathless Racing hiflow air air bridge, LS6 intake manifold with ported throttle body, Breathless racing LT headers into stock cats and H-pipe back to a set of SLP loudmouth exhaust. Hoping that the tune will smooth things out and perhaps give me a lil more. Next year I'll try and do the heads and cam and MAYBE a install the set of 4.10s that I purchased but haven't installed yet.

ECS took care of my '11 GS at Carlisle this past weekend... quicker response, stronger low end, better MPG - worth three times the price... and I learned a lot about my car (and others) talking with Doug and the other very friendly and knowledgeable team - ECS you ROCK!
