none of the above BUT I do have a fan for the AC or Heater that when turned up above the first two bars sounds like it is going to lift off and go for a spin by itself. It just started could the squirrel cage fan be out of balance or a bearing on the motor be going out. Not sure how to get to it. any info would be great, thanks much.

For the driver's door - I noticed the clips on the driver's door (the plastic ones that hold on the panel) were broken and part of the Styrofoam was cracked.
...excessive much?

I just try to keep over 768mph, then I don't hear anything.
but seriously...
'98 with 152k.
1. windows when they are all the way down.
I just tap the up button to bring them up to the felt and it stops.
2. targa top.
Its usually off anyway.
I may have more but my exhaust is so loud I can't hear it.

squeek in suspension
I have a squeek in the rear right corner. It is mostly when cornering left or going over bumps and gets much worse as the tempratures get colder. My mechanic hasn't been able to recreate on the rack yet so haven't made any changes - does this match symptoms you saw related to the end links?

My 2000 rattled but my 03 Z06 does not.
Had squeaks in my 2000 roof and suspension. 86K on the 2000, only 22K on the 03 Z06, so a little different driving time.
Age not only affects us (as does mileage )it is also true of our cars.
Start replacing seals, tightening bolts, and replacing bushings. Might be amazed at high well that old paint will ride.

Once in a while from my targa top though it usually spends late spring, summer and early fall hanging on the wall in the garage. When I close the driver's door with the window down, a little noise. Other then that, after 13 years and just hitting 52K miles, it's pretty darn tight.

I also have a very loud sound that comes out of my center a/c ducts under hard acceleration. It has a plasticky sound like a/c ducting or a panel is loose and resonating with the engine revs. It has an aftermarket head unit installed, so it might be that. I barely listen to the damned thing so I might go back to stock.

My 02 is pretty much rattle free but my 98 has developed a squeak coming from the hatch that is driving me nuts . Getting rid of that squeak is the first item on the "to do list" when I get her out of winter storage.

I have some dash rattles here and there, even more so when it's really cold out. But...the car is 10 years old, has super loud exhaust (lots of vibrations), and has nearly 700hp crank.
I can deal with a few squeaks and rattles.

I did the metal end link / C6 Z06 & Z51 suspension upgrade on my '01 about 25k ago (car's at 120k now), and recently started noticing a rather loud squeak from the rear suspension when I go over bumps. Not sure what the best course of action would be (any recommended lubes?).
Also, for a long time, I've noticed a kind of "something's loose" rattle from under the dash / hood area on the driver's side whenever I go through dips or over bumps. No idea what the source of the noise is (kinda sounds like something hollow rattling), and it's been there since long before I did any mods that could've been the cause.

I don't track the car or anything, so couldn't really justify spending well over a grand on coil-overs. It's considered a good overall upgrade to stock or z51 C5 suspensions, especially if the originals have a number of miles on them.
