Default C5 corvette blinker noise

I daily drive this car and I can't exaggerate enough how much I hate the "Tick Tick" when the blinker's are turned on. I got in a cousin's infiniti and his car had a soft and calming-ish type blinker noise, which I fell in love with. I was curious to if it is possible to change the tone to something a lot less annoying?

You could just do like half the other drivers on the road and not bother using them...

I'd like everyone's blinker to be loud and annoying. Then maybe they wouldn't drive down the highway with them flashing with no turn in their future.

Pretty sure you can insulate the little bugger under the dash

I always found that on import cars the warning and blinker chimes are nicer sounding.Out of the million vet mods that are out there i never heard of a blinker upgrade.........then again i could be wrong..
good luck

Default Aftermarket Flashers

I've seen aftermarket flashers that play a gentle tune for people with bad nerves. Do a search on line or maybe find one on ebay or JC Whitney , but in the meantime if yours is too loud , just wrap the flasher with multiple layers of electrical tape and it will result in a soft thud. Found one on Ebay Motors. Plays Elvis Love Me Tender sold by memotronics LLC Model TF 510 Will make you feel all warm and fuzzy.

As a part of changing to LEDs all around, I purchased the hyperflash harness...which SUBSTANTIALLY reduces the noise to that softer noise you are looking for. It's a 10 minute install, tops.

Mine seemed to quiet down when I installed the hyperflash harness.

But this makes a lot of sense too, especially around here. There are people that drive for miles with their blinker on.

I thought GM made the sound loud as part its plan for the future. They knew that a whole bunch of old guys would be buying c5s and they didn't want us to embarrass ourselves driving down the road with our blinkers on.

I thought I was the only one who noticed that after I installed my new HID/LEDs and installed my hyperflash harness.

I also installed a new DD NAV/stereo/sub system around the same time and thought that had something to do with it as well. I can't hear my blinkers with Led Zepplin IV rocking the system.

Def wasn't the only one who noticed. It was apparent to me right away and I couldn't tell you how relieved I was after hearing how quiet it was. Before doing the LED upgrade I hated how lowed the blinkers were. I like driving around without the stereo on sometimes and had to shut off my blinker cause it was driving my up the wall. Now, I can hardly hear it and I'm surprised with how happy I am with this mod.

So if anyone hates the blinker as much a I or OP did/does, grab a hyperflash harness and you'll be set.

Isn't the hyperflash harness only for led set up's?

Same Here, although I did it for the LEDs, not the noise. It was a nice bonus.

I see no reason why you couldn't do this without the LEDs.

Correct. They can sometimes be hard to find - ping me if JW doesn't have in stock.

That must be it, cause I can't hear mine at all. They still work too!

I think what OP and others are experiencing is some aftermarket flasher units which are cheap and noisy. Replace your flasher with OME purchased at a GM store and it will be as quiet as mine...which is stock.
