So I am going to Carlise for the first time this year with my wife and some other members of my club. I went for the Fun Field pass and I chose a hotel in Mechanicsburg. Looking forward to the trip and the thousands of Corvettes of all vintages. Is there any "do not miss" things I should know about?

Wish I could make it this year but just isn't going to happen. Some day though I will get there - it is the one big show that I have not gone to that is on my bucket list.

missed last year; first time in many years.

Prolly will not go this year either. I will really miss the friends that Yvonne and I always seem to meet with there; the CF group photos, and group dinner.

It is a lot of fun, but 8 hours of driving is a lot; especially when one is getting burned-out on a particular event. Next year, I'm either going to be driving a C7, or a 1973. If that truly happens, I will be going to Carlisle 2013 .

The show always seems to have more and more BS along with the good stuff but it can't be beat. Lots of corvettes. Pray for good weather.

I am contemplating making the trip. It is about an 8 hour drive for me and I would be bringing the girlfriend along. This is the first year that I have a Corvette of my own to take and I really do not want to miss it. Also I am slowly trying to introduce her to the Corvette mindset of things.

Absolutely going again and have been for the last 12 years or so, except for last year. Bring comfortable old sneakers, extra t shirts-it's really hot there. Oh yeah...bring your $$$.
