2slicks1vette shoddy business man.
So 2slicks1vette is selling a 97 supercharged c5 up in Maryland. It basically started off as me making him an offer for 12,000 bucks on his car which was 13,500 as he was asking. He of course turned down my offer which was 1500 below his asking price, and I agreed after that that we would pay 13,500. I am trying to find this car for my best friend so that he can join us corvette people, but people like this guy make it difficult
So he tells me that he will be out of town for 10 days I guess for the holidays or whatever but wont be able to do a deal until then. I explain to him that our bank needs title , or for now at least VIN number to fund the deal and pay him ( we are already approved) and he says he doesn't have the VIN on him. It seems pretty easy to just log into your insurance policy and get the VIN... if you want to sell your car for your exact asking price, one would think you would do this pretty easily.
I probably wouldn't even make this post today, but this guy just irritated me. I asked him about securing the car for us so our bank cant pay him, and he says yes. I then ask him again, because he sounded flaky in PM's... I said we need to know for sure that youll hold it for us until you get back. He says, and I quote..." sure, Ill hold it for you."
so I am assuming he is holding it for me, and post in his for sale ad that deal is pending at his asking price of 13,500... Well he then deletes my post, which chaps my ***, and then responds to other peoples posts who are interested in the vehicle. I then ask him publicly why he did that, and he doesn't even have the nuts to respond. He has a MODERATOR respond telling me that he was the one who deleted it for 2slicks1vette because mr 2slicks1vette claimed I gave no deposit.
Well ***, I would give a deposit if you hadn't just promised me you would hold it for me!
And if anyone doesn't believe me... heres a few of the PM's
This guy sucks as a business person, and good luck to anyone who deals with him.
So anyway, here I and my credit union am, thinking we have selected a vehicle and are just waiting on this jerk off to give us the info... Nevermind. We will find a different car.

closed....for a couple reasons....
1)...namecalling and hostility
http://forums.corvetteforum.com/foru...rd-others.html
2) http://forums.corvetteforum.com/foru...eir-parts.html
4. Purchasing an item for sale
This section continues to cause the most confusion amongst potential buyers, therefore, the forum will make this as simple as possible for the seller.
Posting an interest in a sale thread, or asking questions, does not subject the thread to being closed, nor, to the item being sold. An item will be consider sold, when the seller says it is, based on the simplicity of the sale.
The seller will determine who they want to sell their item/product to based on the expediency of payment, payment method, location, and overall ease of transaction. While some may feel that the first to commit to purchase in the thread would make it easy, it may not be for the seller. If another buyer lives nearby and can save the trouble of shipping, etc. the seller can move onto that buyer let's remember, it is his item/product for sale.
and in closing...your posts were removed from his thread and you posted again and now you started another thread....if you really want to post a dispute you may do so

if you choose to do so please follow these guidelines http://forums.corvetteforum.com/foru...-disputes.html
stick to the facts and stop the namecalling
