Normal Oil temp?
Hey guys, seeing all of these "Cooling Issue" threads, I was just wondering what the normal range for oil and coolant temps should be in the summer months.
I live in SoCal so it's starting to heat up, and my oil temperature has routinely been in the 210-220 range in normal city driving, which seemed slightly high to me, and my coolant has been between 190 and 200, which I think is normal. Do those numbers seem right to you, or do you think they're a bit high? The car is a completely stock '98 coupe. Thanks for the replies in advance

My 2000 on the highway is usually right on 194F for the coolant temp.. Of course in stop and go or in a lower gear going slower it is higher but it will drop back in the mid 190s once back up to speed and just cruising.

My oil temp cruising on the freeway right now in 85 degree weather is about 205 degrees. In town, stop-and-go, it will get up to 217 or so.

97-101 degrees weather oil temps 260 on up. Also having low oil pressure. No metal no noises but the pressure drops when the temp rises. Before the oil temp rises its normal.
I am about to replace the oil pump soon just wonderring if that is normal. Also the coolant temp is usually around 180-208 tops. Its also an Lq9 based stroker. So the block is iron.

Not to hijack, but what if oil temps changed.
Up until maybe a few months ago, my oil temps would always be like 198, real hot weather or "spirited" driving might climb to 210.
Lately I've seen 220+ regularly, no spirited driving, just hot weather (95*+)
Point is an increase in "normal" temps...what could be a cause?
Just hit 70k mi 2001 coupe...standard boltons...
