I installed a Callaway Honker CAI as well as the slotted fog light shrouds to help the car breath a little better. As a result of this bottom-feeding design, I also installed a radiator screen to help keep out plastic bags, large leaves, etc.

Even with the added protection, I still remove the screen once a year and pull out any small debris that worked it's way up into radiator area.

The radiator screen is from Elite Engineering. The fog light shrouds are from Corvette Central.

Those temps sound pretty normal for a/c on and 90* ambient.

A 160* thermostat is no guarantee your engine will run that cool. It's only the temperature at which it is fully open.

Good advice above however to check the radiator and install the screen.

Are your fans running when you turn the a/c on?

Make sure that your front lower black air dam is ANGLED correctly to direct air into the radiator. Seen this issue a bunch on friends car's. It is spring loaded and if its bent or the springs fail it will not push air into the radiator.

I cleaned mine out last month and it's crazy how much gets caught up in there. My temps dropped about 20 degrees after the cleaning.

This same thing happened to me. One of the blades on 1 of my cooling fans was broken and it was not cooling the radiator enough. I changed the fan blade and motor and my temp never goes above 203 deg F in the middle of summer in Las Vegas with full A/C going.

Thats strange he said 235 is normal. To my knowledge, you don't want to ever exceed 210 under any conditions. But I could be wrong.

That's is high. My 2000 FRC rarely exceeds 205 in stop and go traffic and with temps in the mid 90's or higher. I have never seen 230. Just flushed radiator and my radiator fins are in good condition.
