Looks pretty slick.
Try it out and if not like it return it.
Only one way to see if it fits correct.

That guy actually has some pretty cool C5 items at a reasonable price.

There are two types of dividers. One made from MDF board and the other foam. I've read good reports on both. I have the MDF board with the mirror in the center myself.

the point of the thread was to save me time and money from the possibility of buying junk. was hoping someone else has tried it out and could give me a review or recommend another brand.

I got mine from Mid America on a discount. I think it was a return and they had it on clearance, when I was there last summer. The two boards were coming apart but it was an easy fix. I paid a 100 bucks for mine. Normally they were like 179 IIRC. They initially were asking 129 for mine. It was kinda funny really. My wife ask me is I was going to buy it, while we were checking out. I said not at that price. How much she ask, I said a hundred bucks maybe. The manager was there and said sold.

I know from other threads on partitions here that some guys do have the foam ones and they all seemed happy with them. I was actually going to make one myself, but by the time I bought everything it was going to be over a hundred bucks.

I think the one you're looking at is priced well. There is another vendor here who sells a partition that is also priced really well, but I can't for the life of me remember who it is. If i do remember I will send you a pm.

Maybe someone else will come along and help you out.

I bought one of the dividers made out of plexiglass. It has vinyl with a window on one side, and carpet on the other. Bought it from Corvette Partz. I guess it wasn't the dumbest $127.27 I've ever spent, but..................... I don't really notice a difference in noise or temperature whether it's in or out. It's nice looking, don't get me wrong. I was kind of disappointed it had a "Made in China" sticker on it.

I've got the particle board partition, looks good, seperates the trunk from the cabin, some noise reduction, was reasonably price, all in all, satisfied.

I should have said this earlier. When I was thinking about making my own I wanted something while I was deciding what to do. So I took a body pillow and put a nice slip on it and put it in like you would a partition. It fit nicely.

Then when I got my MDF partition I noticed the pillow made it quieter than the partition did, but the partition obviously looked better.

The moral to this is, I believe the foam partitions will be more of a noticable sound deadening than the MDF board.

We use MDF in our construction along with a layer of Ensolite then carpet. This makes a noticeable difference for sound deadening.

It resembles the one for sale at the Corvette Museum Store for about $140, which is also foam. I have the 'sandwich' style with the plexiglass 'window', vinyl one side carpet the other. I turned the window towards the trunk since a p/o must have used the wrong solvent on it to clean it and it's all smeared up. If I were buying one now I'd jump on that Ebay one.

I just have to ask, Why the T.V. on the divider, how are you going to watch it? Your neck muscle is going to hate you after the first hour....

It should be wired that it's disabled if you are driving. Seems to be pushing the 'convenience envelope' a bit.

You ask we will build

It was for a show car facing the trunk area. He has a DVD linked to it showing pics of the car during the show.

That's what I figured. A person would have to be made of rubber to use it inside , and I'm sure your labor/design skills were the bulk of the cost. Those small tv's don't cost much.

It's not the first one I've seen.

Default Partition

Bought one from exoticvette.com. Nicely made, good fit. Helps reduce wind noise and improves the stereo.
