The center ribs on both of my rear tires have worn down to the cord.
The rest of the tire is showing normal wear and is not even close to the wear bars.
I am meticulous about tire pressure and know that they have never been over or under inflated.
No burnouts on these high dollar tires.
Anyone else have/had this issue?

might get 2,000 more miles out of them, damn good tires, not bad on the track too! work great on mountain roads!
PS i run them to the cords lol
what the heck, they are runflats!

My experince on my 2002 coupe MN6 (I do not work the tires hard in spinning, braking, cornering, have seen some high speeds):
Fronts:
OEM Good years--36.5K
Michelin A/S ZP--50K
Michelin A/S ZP+--37K Currently, looking good for 50
Rears:
OEM Good years--36.5K
Michelin A/S ZP--36.5K
Michelin A/S ZP--24K centers wore out
Michelin A/S ZP+--26K currently, centers worn, probably good for 30-32
I contacted Michelin and my dealer about this on the third set of rears. No explanation and no advice on pressures other then Chevrolet reccomendation.
The so-called 45K warrenty on our cars isn't. Limited to 22.5 for rears due to inability to be rotated, and limited to 30K for ZP in any case.
My opinion is that something has changed with respect to design and manufacture, Michelin knows it, and they aren't saying.

I had two pair of 275/40R18 Michelin Pilot Sport A/S tires: one pair purchased in 2003, the other pair in 2006. Both wore prematurely in the center (20k miles). I keep my tires right at 30psi cold and check them frequently. It seems to be a characteristic of the early vintage of these tires. For the record, my Michelin Pilot Sport A/S front tires from 2003 lasted for 40k miles (1 pair of front for 2 pair of rears).
