Folks,

I'm embarassed to even ask this, but where is the 12 disc cd changer located in a 2004 convert? I'm looking at a car online and the only picture inside the trunk shows a big center panel. Is the CD player inside that panel? The factory window sticker the dealership emailed me says it came with the 12 disc changer and the radio looks correct as it has the aux button. I looked an earlier C5 at a dealership and I thought it had a separate panel on the side of the trunk just for the CD changer.

Yes, it is under the panel on the left side. It is mounted vertically. Assuming it is still there, but should be if they said it was.

So, do the 2004 converts still have the left hand panel in the trunk if the weren't equipped with the 12 disc cd changer?

Yes.


Btw, my CD changer (FRC) was originally mounted in the center compartment, perhaps because the FRCs originally came without covers for the two outer storage compartments.

I have an 03 vert and it's under the center panel.

My 04 vert has the CD changer in the middle. Never heard of it being on either side.
