Default Copied cds

I was wondering if I copy music from cds I already have onto a burnt cd, will the Corvette cd player or 12 disk changer play it?

Thanks

Make sure you are burning ".wav" files to the CD and most any CD player should play them.
(most cd burning software will have an option to convert your ".mp3" files into ".wav" files before burning them, this will make it play in most cd players)

What software would you be using to burn the new cd?

Default Burning Audio CD's

If you just drag and drop the music and burn the CD it probably wont play depending on the file format. If you have iTunes, or your music is already in an iTunes library then create a playlist, select burn CD, make sure you check the box that says burn audio CD, and it should play just fine. If not sure just ask your kids or grandkids and they will have it done faster than your Vette will run the quarter mile!

If you have issues, set your CD burner to the lowest possible burn speed.

I have the same problem but with an MP3 CD, I burned an mp3 CD and it works fine in my laptop or blueray/dvd player at home, but when I insert it in the CD player in the C6, it only shows a few of them and out of those few it only reads 3 of them, does any one have this problem?

I burned the CD via Nero, and I have an 09 z06 with nav, there are around 100 songs on the CD

For MP3's in C-6's, you have to be careful about having any extra characters or special characters in the fiile names and the name length to 31 or less. The C-6 doesn't like those.

So if I edit the names to shorter names then c6 will read them?

The part...just ask your kids or grandkids....seven year olds are very computer literate.

The C6 MP3 capability seems to have issues with long file names but it also has problems with special characters which are found in lots of song names. Edit out the special characters and reduce the file name length. The settings for the burning will allow you do set the length. Normally I use Nero to burn mine but many other programs will do it as well.

Now on my C-5 changer, I cannot use MP3 disks and only formal CDA which are normal CD disks. I can indeed use burned disks.

I have found it must be a CD-R in order for it to work. CD-RWs seem to not work.
