For those of you asking about my dash toupee, We have some very hot summers here and it helps save the dash better than treating it, Also it helps with the sun glare I get off the dash, It isn't mounted, I can and have removed it at times, Bottom line, It works for it's intended purpose.

I have my sides and small rear convertible window tinted to legal (Florida) limits, however a few Corvette guys I know also tinted their windshield. What's great is that, unlike the side windows, you can't tell the windshields are tinted and they block out a lot of the heat and UV rays.

Hey Bill, My old "55' chevy had motor flames like that once at the track! The problem was they were REAL! I had to rewire that thing to get it home that night
