that the camaro aint got anything on my c5 its really not even that close. My 2002 m6 stock will whip it bad, but i guess the camaro aint bad for a daily driver. anyone else feel the same ?

It really is a beautiful car. When I'm older, and too old for a Vette, I would buy it. Now I'm only 63 so I have pleanty of time. No laughing allowed.

For some reason, I'm just not that interested in the Camaro. I drove one and for me at least it had a lot of blind spots. But congrats on your purchase.

Drove my Z06 to my friend's house today. Took him for a test beating in it. Then we took out his '05 C6 auto, which rode nice but felt like a slug. Then we took out his '10 Camaro SS. It felt about as quick as the C6, but MAN is that thing a fat pig! Felt like we were driving an F250.

When I was younger I owned a 1986 Camaro IROC Z28 and was dreaming of owning a Corvette some day. Nuff said...

The new Camaro is a nice car, however it is not a Corvette.

I like the new Camaro a lot but it leaves a lot to be wanted. Of course as always it's powerplant and drivetrain is very solid. But the weight is killer. Still, not a bad car to have as a daily driver if you consider your Vette a toy!

Sorry, but with all due respect a stock C5 is not going to take a stock SS. I have a 2011 GS and a 2010 Camaro SS and the SS will hang in there with the Corvette... all in a straight line though. You get into turns and forget it... the Corvette wins.

Huh? Despite the weight difference? How?

If it's an L99 the stock C5 will win. Period.

LS3 with a good driver beats the Stock C5....clueless driver in the LS3, drivers race.

And there is no way in hell a GS loses to stock SS.

Thanks for playing though.

actually a C5 and the SS are about equal in the quarter mile it would be a drivers race, both are about 13 seconds

The LS3 SS isn't as slow as people think it is.
Sure it's a fat pig, but it's still has an LS3, which as we all know by now is no joke.
