I guess I should point out my price was dealer pricing

corvettes vary by a lot of things

state, miles, options, dealer/owner

its really hard to put a price on one and you should pay what you feel is right

A dealer priced the 04 Commemorative Convertible, A4 ( and they all have the shale leather seating) to me last fall for $24K with 52K miles if that helps any.

I have 24000 miles on my 2004 CE Convertible and was thinking about offering it for sale @ 28500 - 29500.

The problem your gonna have is your asking price is in C6 territory. This is would be your competition not other C5's.

Tops would be around $22-23K for the car. C5s are still depreciating and C6s have come down. Sounds like a nice car, but the market is still down a bit.

I like jdub2k5's take for obvious reasons. I think the color gives it a bump. It's incredible to me. Sometimes in looks purplish! Blurple It is by far my fav color. But that is my taste. Think I'll be trying it at $27k. Thanks guys!!

Well I have one too with 48K on the odo. It has long tube headers and GHL cat backs as well as a K&N air filter. It has never been over 90 mph. I enjoy cruising in it. Spotless but is is 8 years old. Original price was $50K I paid $45K in Jan '04. So after 8 years you can get 50% of what it sold for new you are doing well. That is about 6% a year depreciation. The price should get into the teens when the C7 comes out so if you really want to dispose of it now is the time . . . Spring and Summer and before a new edition comes out which should depreciate the C5 more. Try to get above $20K but it will take a motivated buyer and yours better be cherry like.

Look it up on kbb, edmunds or nada.

By the way, the 04 CE models are priced more than the standard models according to those sites I listed. not alot but a couple of grand more, at least for the Z16 Z06 as of late last year. Im not sure about the coupes but just look the info up for yourself.

That's about how much I paid for my (at the time) 26k mile optioned CE 5 years ago.

The CE seems to bump it $500-750, depending.

Good luck with your sale!

Once you start going towards the higher range, then you will start competing with 2005/2006 C6's. I would research early C6 prices to see what they are going for and come in under that price. The 22K seems like the right price, but I would ask a bit more to allow some room for negotiation.

I think you'll be able to get between $20-22k for it. Good luck with your sale

I would suggest the OP send PM's to the guys who have listed their cars for 25k plus and see how many of them have sold. I think he will answer is own question if he does this.

I paid $25K for mine (18K miles) last July, in the Washington DC area.
I looked all over the country using search engines and the big websites,
for about 3 months. I don't believe the people that claim they buy "like new"
low mileage CE cars for 3-4 grand less. The 03 anniversary editions go for
even more (that garnet red really is a great color).

That said, I expect the value to continue to drop as each year goes by ...
but I dont care becuase I am never going to sell mine!

It stilll looks, runs and attracts attention like it is brand new!

Tom
