Nice product. Next time I need to remove my center console, I'll have to get me one of these.

Thank you, no need to remove the console, this sits right on top of the existing console base, install takes less than 10 seconds

So you apply it over the existing OEM console felt? Any test numbers or results that show the average temperature drop? I can melt a candy bar in my current console with a 10 minute drive.

That is correct. I do not have any numbers for the C5 insulator yet however we expect the results to be the same as our C6 insulator which in real world tests have shown a reduction in the inside temperature of the console of 20-25 degrees for an improvement of 15-20%

Any chance of making one for the glove box? I plug my phone into a usb cord that is located there and man, does it get hot. My owners manual almost melts to the sleeve it's in too.

I measured and cut a section of the waffle-like tool drawer lining and placed that in my glovebox. It acts as a barrier between the owners manual pleather folder (which also carries my insurance card and registration) as well as my iPod Touch which plugs into my USB cord to the DD head unit. It doesn't really help with the heat, however it does help in keeping the pleather folder from sticking.

Thanks. Does it stick to the OEM felt or is it removable?

Interesting, I do not remember my C5 getting that warm in the glove box, are you folks running stock?

No adhesive, it's a press fit, snug as a bug

For those of you who have ordered and installed this mod, any real-world feedback? Can you feel any difference in the console?

Received mine and installed it today. Fits REALLY nice and clean. I guess I'll see how much of a difference it makes in the next day or two.
