Hi,
I purchased a set of Mich Ps2 from tirerack in stock sizes, couldn't pass up the deal ($922 shipped FOR PS2's!!!) but now i also found a great deal on a set of stock c5 z06 wheels and was wondering if the size's work and still look good. if anyone has any pictures please post em up.
Thanks,

Well, the Tire Rack lists the stock rear tires as fitting a 9-11" rim and the front as 8-9.5" rim. So I guess they will fit OK, but I would think they would be stretched out a bit compared to the non-Z06 size wheels.

Yep....
I can attest to this. That's what is on my car (although worn out and needing replaced) and they just don't look right. However, that is just my opinion, to each his or her own I guess. I just feel they look a little stretched out or small. I'll pay the extra to get the Z06 size.

They'll look like crap, IMHO. Don't like the stretched look at all.
Plus, since they are stretched with the sidewall bowing in, there will be no protection for the wheel. A minor curb brush won't be hitting tire, it's all wheel.

Those are great prices, though at first I thought they were in Z06 sizes.
The lowest price I found for PS2's in Z06 size is at Discount Wheel Warehouse for $1250 plus shipping which is what I am going for.
I will ask my local Discount Tire if they can match the price and give a local business a chance first. My Discount Tire did have 2 PS2's in stock and when I asked what the date of manufacture was the guy went upstairs to check and came down and said it was the 2nd quarter of 2008!!! I won't be buying those.
Should remind us all to ask the date of manufacture before we buy!

In the interest of full disclosure I'll start off by saying that if budget is not a big issue I would go with the biggest tire that will work on any wheels I have.
Now down to business....the Z06 wheels are great wheels! When I purchased my Z06 2 years ago it had standard C5 tire sizes on it. The tires were Nitto 555 Extremes. They looked just fine and I never received any comments from anyone that the tires looked narrow or stretched. Even at car shows. And the tires were wide enough to provide protection for the wheels. Brands are a bit different so your results may vary.
A few months ago I replaced the Nittos and I did go with the correct Z06 sizes. I can tell the difference, but, it's not huge by any means. If I could have found a great deal I would have purchased even wider tires! Personal budgets are a reality and have consequences.
So....the tires will fit on the Z06 wheels and will look just fine, especially if you're starting with standard sizes on your car to begin with. The standard tire sizes will look wider on the Z06 wheels.
Good luck in any case and keep us posted on how it goes!
