Default Opinions wanted on armrest cushions

I thinking of finishing up my winter interior upgrade project with a set of Corvette Door Panel Armrest Cushions, With C5 logo etched in it.

Thought it might look good with the rest of the mods. Anyone have these on there c5? If so how do you like them, and do they really stay adhered good with that 3m tape that comes with it.

Also cant decide between the torch red (to match the exterior and other interior accents) or oak to match the two tone black and lower panel factory oak. Any feedback or comments as always, greatly appreciated. (pics would be great too) Ken

I have them, no problems and a lot softer.

The door arm rests are from Vette Essentials.

My concern is with their affect on door panel delamination (if any).

i've had a set on my 04 for about 2 years without any problems at all. they hold really well (if i remember correctly, i did add an additional strip of double sided tape to each side, but i doubt it was necessary, but, i wasn't taking any chances, lol). they certainly haven't had a de-laminating effect at all.

That sounds like a great way to dress up the interior. How do you remove the armrests ? and who sells custom replacements ? Thank you !

Most of the ones I've seen tape to the existing arm piece. Most all of the vette places sell some form of them.

See that's the deal with me. they look good, but what if you want to take them off?

19 bucks? holy first class batman. No wonder they were a tad bit lower priced than others I looked at. They always **** you at the drive thru.

Had my VE armrests for a few years now - no problems. I do have to remember to put on my seat belt "before" I close the door to keep it from sometimes catching on the armrest, but not a big issue.

Mine are carbon fiber leather and suede to match the rest of the custom VE interior.

I'm thinking his interior is all vette essentials.

My question is, what if you want to remove the arm rest cover. it's taped on. Or does it make it pretty much permanent?

The VE armrests just tape on - they could be removed if carefully done.

My console lid was done by Matt at Vette Essentials - he spoke with the NCM about putting their logo on it and they agreed - plus I had some wording included under the logo. No other one like it that I know of.

That's what I thought. Careful is pretty subjective.

Is it like Rip off the **** and beat on the dash?
