Illuminated mirror on sun visor fell off
Hi All,
I'm a first time corvette owner. Just picked up a yellow 2002 with 5,000 miles from a close friend. The car sat in the garage most of the time as you can tell by the low mileage. I was never a vette fan but I love this car. It's like new.
The illuminated sun visor mirror fell off today. Looks like it wasn't held on very well by Chevy. I was thinking of using velcro to hold it in place. Thought I'd ask the experts on here for their suggestions.

Not sure exactly what your mirror has done, but I do have a file that shows an easy way to fix the mirror if it has come loose from the sunvisor. May or may not solve your problem, but if you'd like a copy of the file, just PM me your e-mail address.

I'm assuming you need the zip tie fix
Here's a post I made a few years ago. Does that fix your problem?
Sun Visor Fix
I also had a problem with this and I tried a couple of things before I got one that worked. I also used zip ties:
Pull the mirror away from the housing gently. Stick a piece of 3M double sided tape along the inside edge of the top of the mirror between the two holes in the visor.
Thread a small zip tie through each hole from the back and outside of the hole, with the “head” of the tie located in the large rectangular recess. Pull the tail of the zip tie towards you and thread from inside to out through the hole in the locating pin. Push the tail through the head loosely at first.
Use needle nosed pliers (holding the tail) and a precision screwdriver (pushed against the head) to tighten the zip ties. Be very careful when pulling the ties tight not to pinch the lighting wires which run through the same hole. Once tight, snip the spare tail of the tie but carefully so as not to snip the electrical wires.
Push the mirror back into its housing and press firmly against the double sided tape.
Should be good as new.

Same problem when I got my 01 home - tried the ziploc solution which worked OK but still had floppy ears and looked worn, so bought a pair of new OEM visors for $120 off eBay.
Took the old visors off and liked the new look so much I never fitted the new ones. I have the roof off most of the time and I can look at traffic signals over the top of the windshield if I'm first in line! Use the bill of my hat as a visor.
You might want to give it a try :-)
