44,000 on stock pads... is it time to replace?
My brakes feel fine but at 44,000 miles am i getting close to replacing them. I rather just do em ahead of time n yes i realize i could just look at them. But thats a chore in a way. What r people getting out of original set roughly? I am completely happy with the stock pads so shud i stick with them or is there something better at same price?

Great "summary." I will let someone who has raced and done it 1000X do mine--a lot of effort. Some pads do no require quite the "burnishment" you suggested. Most aftermarket quality pads require long road, 3-5 rather firm decelerations from 60-30-don't lock brakes. After 5 times of same technique, drive 30 minutes never stopping and allow to cool. Did with new Carbotechs and seated well. Or you can drive 300 miles on a freeway without stopping. I like first option.
I suspect you use only the gas peddle. 44K out of original pads is exceptional--mine were 2/3 gone after 15K and I thought I never use the brake (drag my feet).

The only true way to tell is the mic the pads and rotors.
Otherwise you should be able to answer your own question, you've got 44K on your OEM pads and rotors so far and are happy.
I wouldn't be surprised if you find you have a lot more pad and rotor out there then you might think at 44K. You should be able to go 50-60K on the stock setup, but each user is different.
If you want the mic values, say so and I'll post them up.
