Yes, brighter cleaner light, less heat and less power consumption

I finally saw switchbacks in operation on an Audi. Very impressive. One does need the clear lenses tho, right??

No, the switchbacks are installed in the clear part of your DRL assembly. Although, clear lenses really do look much better in general.
