Will never know how they would look under mine - it's not something that I would ever do to the car.

Luckily Chevrolet does not subscribe to the stagnant point of view of most C5 members. Even Chevrolet knows that the ricers (aka, Young people) are the future of the look of automobiles. Which is why Chevrolet has openly said the new C7 will be geared more towards the younger generation.
There is nothing wrong with the classic look of a solid color C5 with chrome wheels. But that look is very old and, well, classic. Automotive design does not stay stagnant like that forever or it will die.
Expect the new C7 to have LED lights underneath as a factory option.
