Took mine out to test some things after a winter of modding
and was all over the place in my neighborhood. All weather tires recommended, snow tires would be helpful

It states clearly in the owner's manual that Corvettes are not to be driven in snow or rain.

You need a good all weather tire for snow driving to be safer. The summer performance tires do not do well in ice and snow.
I do not drive my vettes in the winter primarily because i live in a ski resort town and there are thousands of idiots that come up here in the winter (and summer) who cant drive on dry pavement let alone snowy/icy pavement. Second, because of these idiots, our state and county road departments spray out a layer of "cinders" to assist with traction.
Cinders are crushed volcanic rock, many about the size of peas. Our sticky tires pick up these cinders and throw them into the paint where it promptly chips/removes the paint. Terrible damage to the paint of these cars.
I guess its about time to get the hell out of the snow country and get into some warmer weather climates!

The right tires are the key and a light foot on the gas. It can be done. However if the snow is higher then the airdam then your just plowing snow. Higher then that & the body will lift up onto the snow and forget trackion. Get a DD for the winter months.

The main ingredients are common sense and driving ability. Without those, the best tires in the world won't do you any good. If you have all three of the above mentioned, the answer is yes. I drove mine to work every day through Indianapolis weather conditions including the ice storm. I bought a large shallow plastic tote and two 50 pound bags of ice melt for the back. You can use velcro tape on the bottom of the tote to keep it from sliding. My biggest concern is the icebergs from other peoples cars. Common sense will dictate most of your decisions though.

Maybe go to Farm and Fleet and see if you can find chains for your tires.
This is where a Vette belongs in the snowy winter months........

I just have to ask why would you want to? I currently have two cars and two bikes all on battery tenders waiting for nice warm weather. As far as I'm concerned these cars are just to nice to trash like that. Have you ever looked at the damage of just driving a new car for a couple of season on treated roads does?
When I'm old enough to retire I'm going south for the winters so we can enjoy them year round.
Besides it's a good time to do some mods.

If it isnt deep its not too bad. I did have my doors freeze shut but finally got the pass side open and crawled in. The people I work with thought it was funny. I park my bikes in the winter but if it's got a roof and heater why drive something else.
