One Headlight - Not the song
Went to start my 03 Zo6 and the battery was dead. Jumped it with my four wheeler and it started right up. Took a short ride, pulled into the garage and turned on the lights. Only the drivers side popped up.
What is the first thing I should check? Could it be related to the battery? This is the first time I've had an issue with the headlights.
Thanks in advance.

do you have brass gears or the stock plastic ones?
when the plastic gears start to go bad the headlights do a bunch of funny things like that.
more specifically to the case where one light doesn't come up however, in my experience that's usually caused by the stop bumper on the closed stop being worn out. especially if you have brass gears they'll wear out faster (less give in the gear putting more pressure on the stop) if you are familiar with how to take the headlights apart enough to get to it there's a simple thing you can try, take the bumper off, rotate it 180 degrees, and put it back on. then you'll have a fresh new surface presented to the adjuster arm. see if that fixes it.
for some reason the headlight door control module is rather flaky. if it sees something it doesn't like it does some crazy stuff. a worn out bumper allows the headlight door to close a little too far, and that seems to make it act up.

If it started after an electrical problem I'd suspect electrics rather than mechanical.
I assume you checked the fuse? The right headlight motor is fuse #3 (left is fuse #4) on the engine bay fuse panel.
If its only one headlight, the troubleshooting guide suggests the following:
Test the power and ground circuit of the headlamp door control for a poor connection or an open.
If still not working:
Inspect the harness connector for headlamp opening door assembly for a poor connection
If still no joy:
Replace the headlamp opening door assembly.
PM me with your e mail if you'd like a copy of the trobleshooting guide.
