How much Money do you have into your Corvette?
This includes the purchase price of the car and the mods/service.
I don't want each person to reply and turn it into showing off but I want to get a realistic idea.
I am not sure how to set up a poll or if that's the best option here, but I think the choices should include.
How much you purchased the car for.
How much you have into mods/service.
How long you have had it.
Future money planned to invest.

Safety Car
02 M6 convertible with 22K at time of purchase
Purchased in Feb 08 for $26000
now has 33k
costs:
new tires - $800
new Tire Pressure Sensors - $200
K&N filter - $40
anti-theft relay - $15
Column lock bypass - $50
new drivers bottom seat foam - $75
rocking seat fix - $5
3M clearbra & rockers - $550
Lloyd floor mats - $100
Diablo tuner - $200
battery - $75
no labor - I've never taken the car anywhere for service. When I had the new tires mounted I only took the loose wheels to the shop. Other than the dreaded column lock and rocking seat, it's been mostly problem free.
I dont have any plans to turn this car into a money pit. I've already got a Camaro that fits that definition.

I didnt want to get into anyone's business or turn it into showing off.
Any suggestions for a poll setup that would do the trick?
To me it's real interesting to see where each of us fall compared to others with the exact same car.

I paid $25K for the car back in Sep '09 - had 8500 miles on it then and was in mint shape.
Since then, I have spent $8,814.33 on mods/service, with more to come over the winter. Service has mainly been just routine items like fluid changes - nothing of an unusual nature. Just a guess, but I'd say my winter mods will run me about $450 total. After that, don't really plan to do much else for a while, but you never know - performance increases would be nice some day.
And to me, it has been worth every penny spent on the car.

22.5 K seven years ago new to me then.
Brakes, tires, wheels, headers, catback, cam, a tune or two, bling here, bling there,,,,replace a/c, etc.
Maybe 30K total. Would have been more but my buddies helped a ton. They took the time to teach me, school me and educate me all along the way. Most of the mods on my car were hands on in private garages by great people who know who they are! Thanks again!

I think at one time I figured it all out and I was in the neighborhood of $30-35K with the purchase price and all -
What really sent me over the top was the tranny rebuild even with the forged motor and supercharger etc. etc.
Thanks,Matt

I stole my Z06 for 17.5k last winter with 50k on it. Already had AR headers, xpipe, retune, braided lines, slotted rotors, short shifter, c6z ****, vararam, stubby antenna and a few other things. Since I've added:
L5 rears fenders: 1100.00 + 250 materials, did the work myself.
C6Z black wheels with tires: 2600.00
BB exhaust: 450.00
So, for under 22k I've got a pretty wicked Z06 in my opinion....but then I landed a stupid deal for this winters build (and no it's not stolen, just fell into my lap).
2010 LS7 complete motor with aftermarket heads, cam and valvesprings....2500.00
C6Z complete brakes...500.00
Dry NOS MAF kit...300.00
So, I'm hopin for under 27k to have a monster C5Z this coming spring. I'm pumped.

18k 4 car 31k on clock 4 yrs ago
7k first round of Mods at 50k on clock
1500.00 IN TIRES
10k second round / new forged LS6 243 HEADS 84k 0n clock
Car is like new now has 100k on clock
Well worth every dollar and to think in 2007 I was going to spend 80k on a C6Z06 and to think I only have half of what I would have spent on the 07 C6Z06 and to say I can beat any stock C6Z06 down the 1320 it was a great deal

Bought the '01 'vert about 4 years ago for $22.5k.
It had ~45k miles, it has just over 102k miles now.
Easily spent $2-3k on tires over that time.
Done brake and suspension upgrades for ~$1.5k.
As soon as the current round of body mods are dones, that'll be about $3-4k.
Misc mods and maintenance is probably about $1-2k or so.
New wheels were about $800.
Supercharger was about $6k.
So, all in all, currently about $40k into the car to have it the way I want. Friend and I were joking about how I could probably get a C6 for what I've put into my C5... but then I'd be back at square one.
