That's too bad. Most of us have lost cars along the journey we call life, so we feel your pain and loss.

But I don't see why you wouldn't ship the car unless it's for personal or family reasons. You didn't share why you sold it.

the military only pays to ship one vehicle, my wife drives a newer tdi jetta(excellent mpg's), it just made more sense to take her car..its a 4 door automatic so if family visits they can ride in our car and an auto since traffic is terrible. plus is much more expensive to live there so 2 car payments may have been a stretch, this way i can do all the fun things i want and not be strapped for cash.
