Default Can't get tire pressure sensors to fit wheels

Wheels are CCW's and have been chromed by WWC. The front tire pressure sensors fit, the rears do not.

We removed the rubber grommet just to see if we could get the threads of the sensor to come thru the hole...it doesn't.

What i need is a sensor that works with the C5 that has a longer thread base to it. See pic with the red lines. If there is no such thing, can anyone recommend a different style sensor compatible with C5's....i need my monitoring system back Please help!!!

Many people just band them to the wheel inside and use regular valve stems to the outside.

dougbfresh is right. Banding from McMaster-Carr. I cut off the stems about where your red line is closest to the main body, and banded to the center of the rim. Works like a charm. If you think you may use the TPMS again, don't cut the stem. Easiest fix I have found.

I was always under the impression that all CCWs accepted the wheels sensors. Maybe contact John at CCW and ask his advice.

I have been speaking with Marie regarding the issue. Sent her new nuts that had thread all the way down. I can't for the life of me figure out why the sensor won't come all the way through unless there is that much chrome build up on the bead seat.

Wow, thanx for the info, what method do u guys use to band them to the wheel? Can they still be programmed via the magnet method? I would imagine they'd need a pretty strong magnet, unless you program them off the car?

Default Still need some help

Banding from McMaster-Carr...can u guys tell me which type you went with? I'm thinking a "rubber" band will lose it's elasticity over time whatever method i use has to be able to withstand heat as well right? I'm on their website but can you please be more specific?
