B&b prt
I have the prt's on my c5 vette with lg long tube headers and I don't feel this set up is loud as I want. I am considering cutting/welding the mufflers off my prt's. What do you think about this idea?

Guys quick update from my side!
I love the B&B bullet, best muscle car sound ever!!! Very small drone Nd only between 1500 and 1800 rpms! I gained 5rwhp more compared to the stock TI system! Now 403 rwhp:-)!
I only can recommend the exhaust with a similar system like I do have!

I am sorry, I do not know of anyone but am also not familiar with the area. I am sure there are a bunch of good installers in your area.
Post this question in the regional section of the Forum and I am sure someone local to you can give you a few names.

Warning..
Billy Boats are LOUD!! Really loud!!
If that is what you are looking for, you will like them. They have a good deep sound, but much louder than Corsa systems.

Hmmmm...kinda correct...The Bullets are loud but they have several other more "tamer" sounding systems (just like other exhaust manufacturers)...
Agree with you about the Bullets, but saying all B&B systems are loud is kinda misleading.
Thanks

Good morning-
QuickQuestionPlease. I just got the BB Rt 66 Mufflers, a friend mentioned they gurgle etc and sound out of line if you do not have an Xpipe to go along is that a fact or will I be OK without another $tripod$ X.? Thank you.
PS. If yes, would anyone have any tips on how to perhaps get a good deal on X? GooAy.

The theory is that adding an X pipe will smooth out the exhaust flow a bit a reduce the "gurgle" sound but I am not sure it is a proven fact. Adding an X pipe does not change the volume of the exhaust at all.
If I was you, I would try the exhaust as it is without the X pipe and see if you like the sound. If not, then add the X pipe later. It is not hard to do after the fact.
Here is the B&B Corvette C5 X pipe for more info...
Thanks,
Jim

This was without headers on a C5 and C6.
I am not familiar with all of the BB lineup, so I will take your word for it.

Not trying to knock the exhaust system at all. Like I said, the Billy Boats I have heard sound great with a deep tone, but they did drown out everything else around them.
