Default C5 Best looking Vette Ever

I know im on the C5 forum, but i go back to owning a 58, 65,76,
80, 95, and now an 03 coupe. I believe the C5 is the best looking
corvette ever made including the C6. Its a timeless design.
Im strictly talking looks not mechanics. Curious to get
your opinions and thoughts.

I think the 67 C2 is the best looking IMO.

Over all looks, maybe? Technologically? Definitely. I love my C5 but I also love the big round tail lights of the early C4's, the long nose and sharp fenders of the C3's, the sharp tail of the C2's, and the class that the C1 has. C6's leave much to be desired with the instrument panel and chopped off rear end, but the C6 ZO6/ZR1/GS is a beautiful car in its own right.

I was just thinking about this the other day! I've had a lot of Corvettes over the last 48 years of driving including c-1s c-2s c-4s and-5s. No c-3s as I never really liked the way they drove.
I think the 1957 Vette is the best looking corvette ever built but the c-5 comes in a close second.

p.s. No offence to the c-3 guys out there, I think they are nice cars to but just never really liked driving them.

I prefer the C5 over the C6...and certainly over the earlier generations. The first Corvettes are tough to beat though!

I would vote for a 1967 427 with side exhaust or a 1969 427 w/side-exhaust. The C5 is good looking, but it lacks the uniqueness of the earlier generations.

I think if you took a poll of all Corvette owners it would come down to the 1967 and 1963 Vettes with the nod going to the 1967.

IMHO the C5 is technologically an engineering marvel. It is a tribute to CAD, innovation in manufacturing, use of materials, advanced computer technology, and above all else..............style. The C5 is the first Corvette to truly take a place in the "sports car" category worldwide and even though it has its issues and failings it is as American as apple pie. Can it be refined? I believe an attempt was made with the C6 but the lines of the C5 are timeless and will always be recognized by the general public as revolutionary. Many people think my 1998 is a new car! Of course, I am biased because I have a C5 in my garage and it brings me great joy. Isn't that what a car is supposed to do?

Just wish the c5 was coming out in this day in age with all the cooler technology!!! gets expensive trying to make a c5 upgraded with todays tech!

I think the C5 looks great, that's why I own one. But the '67 is a LEGEND. There is a reason a '67 427 costs over $100K.

This doesn't look fast and mean? Maybe it is a generational thing. If you aren't old enough maybe you won't appreciate the classics. Not that I am that old, I was't born when this was made.

The C5 is the best looking Vette made between 97 and 04 hands down.
C2's are the best looking made between 63 and 67. You can probably see where I'm going with this.

I'd have to go with the 63' split window too. I love my C5 and wouldn't take for it, but I believe the C2 coupe is the best body style for the Corvette. I've never driven one and certainly never owned one, but I have become an admirer.

Default "in the day"

Have a goal - C1 - C2 - C3 - (2) C5's and perhaps a C7 in my three bay garage with at least two lifts, once I retire.
