Exhaust opinions??
Hello C.F. World.. I am looking to get a new exhaust for my 2000 Corvette and I am torn between either the Borla Stinger exhaust and the B&B Bullet exhaust.
Just looking to see what everyone else thinks about the 2 exhausts. I have done some price comparisons and the Bullets are a couple hundred dollars cheaper but they both sound good. I have looked both up on youtube and I must say that they both are aggressive sounding (which is what I am going for) but I don't know if they are complete upgrades with headers or just cat-backs..
I am not looking to do a "complete" exhaust replacement meaning to change headers and what not... just the standard Cat-Back systems.. My budget is around $1300 which is to include installation and I found the Bullet exhaust (with a coupon) to be around $750 and the Borla to be about $930..
So again, just looking to get some opinions on both exhausts and which one I should go with, remembering that I will not be replacing anything else .. Both are temporary reduced prices so I am looking to get this done rather soon.. Thanks in advance for your input..

I would have to say that most ads I have seen for them are just for the Axel back exhaust, No cats or headers.
If it were me I would go the B&B exhaust, But you really can't go wrong with either one.

Thanks for the reply! Any idea what it would cost to have someone install them? I know its a very generalized question as prices for installers vary.. but just an idea? $300? $400?

I chatted with a guy at a gas station recently who had a brand new Nissan GTR. I complimented him on his car and he did likewise. He also said that he wished his car sounded as good as mine. I have quad borla stingers.

Go with the B&B's. A decent muffler shop should be able to install the exhaust for around $50-75. I had a local muffler shop install a catback on my '00 for $50.

If you interested in the rumble of 60's muscle car rumble sound... GHL. I love mine and get compliments on the sound often. Also get the question, how much horse power do I have cause it sounds like it's been built up.
Mine sound a bit loud, but that's prob cause I removed the cat convertors.

I have borla stingers with longtubes and a catted x-pipe and I love it. It's loud, it drones, and it sounds bad ***. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YroxY-XWoDg

Anyone have clips of a standard coupe with axle backs?

That does sound nice.. I really want to see/hear what an axle back system sounds like on a coupe without other mods.. You have a z06 with other mods.. I have looked on youtube but many of them are with added headers and x pipes, etc.. and some do not give details about what they added...
