I just picked up this 99 vert for the wife and noticed these two little led lites in the console, i knew they were not factory but had no idea what it was for, i thought maybe some kind of aftermarket alarm? when the car is running the lite is on and when you shut the car off the lite gos out,so that makes no sence for a alarm, so anyway i take the car for a spin to get gas, and the tilt needs to come up for the steering wheel, so at the gas station i reach for the tilt button and behind the tilt **** find this weird turn **** inside of a ****, the inside **** didnt seem to do anything but when i turn the the outside **** i hear a whirlling noise and ding ding from the dash area and these other lites start to lite up!!!!!!!!WHAT ARE THESE ***** AND LITES FOR LOL!!!!????

Maybe you've got a stealth built-in radar detection system.

Sounds like you need to pull the lower dash panel (easy) and check where these wires from the **** go ? Shouldn't be too hard to do, aftermarket wiring stands out and can be easily traced.
