Default F55 Suspension

Don't post here often, but read every night. The other night, I read about thd infamous shock spacers or stuffers. My car is not a daily driver and being an 03 anniversay vert with all options and about 10000 miles on it, it rode very bad. I had checked several times for the spacers and thought they had been removed. Because of the ride, I was never satisfied that they were removed. When I saw the pics, I was amazed. I now knew what to look for, so thanks for the post from Z06 , I believe. Got under the car the next day and removed them. What a difference. I am pissed and embarrased that for the 8 years I have owned the car, they were in there. So thanks again to this forum and Z06 for the photos.

Better late than never! Wonder how many other F55 suspensions are locked up till they die? I have the F55 shocks and they truly are a nice ride in "touring". Greetings, Rob

Slide the shock boot up and look for this yellow ribbon hanging down. Check ALL the shocks. Lift the car up so the wheels dangle and remove the stuffers. What a difference it makes!

I'm embarrassed to say owned my 2003 Anniversary coupe for four years and had it to my favorite dealership for state inspection and yearly oil change, Steve S. the GM master tech flushed the brake fluid as well, took it out to test the brakes and he came back and put it up on the lift and sure enough the little yellow tags were still there. He come in to the lobby and said Mr. Ward don't you think you corvette rides a little hard? I said well it's my first C5 and I didn't know, and then he showed me the yellow shock suffers, it seems a LOT of dealership while prepping the F55 suspension for some reason failed to pull out the shock stuffers ! Crazy
