Specs wise it's what I'm looking for, but what about the mileage/price? I think it would be a better deal for 10K...but I could be wrong.
What do ya'll think?
Thanks.

Private party price on Kelly BB is about 10k. Have it checked out by your mechanic. I'm sure with that mileage you'll need to budget for a repair or two. Clutch? Brakes? Air conditioning?paint?
These cars are very dependable and if there has been reasonable maintenance they will run alot of miles. Personally I have 184000 miles on mine and its held up very well. Better than my Tundra with less than half the miles! The prices are low and you can get into one now for a song.

This is the price I gave for a 02 with 94k.
I spent about 1500 to bring it back to life, not there was anything wrong with it , just the ususal C5 issues and a top.
A 98 with 135k should be had for somewhere between 9k and 10k.
Keep in mind an EBCM issues with an 02 will cost you 150.00 to repair , while it will cost you 800.00 plus to repair on a 98.

If you like it I think the price isn't too bad, I did notice it will need an oil pressure sender because the Gage is pegged, I wouldn't worry about the miles as long as it has been taken care of, Make sure the suspension is good and tight, Last thing you want is a car you will need to put 3000 bucks into.

It is worth it "IF" it all checks out and is taken care of !
You could easily offer less and see if they take it -
Thanks,Matt

dont listen to these guys. I payed 12,000 (plus 850 for shipping) for my 98 with 148,000 miles.
I had zero issues with it. It runs very strong. and has lots of engine mods. its not perfect condition. but its still very good.

Yeah, I sure haven't seen any selling for 10 grand. That seems to be the way these threads go however. I would guess that if the OP said the asking was 10, eveyone would say offer 8.
Heck I paid 9 for a 99 Vert wrecked with 71thou. About 2 grand more than it should have been but I really wanted the car and so did someone else. That's why they call it an auction I suppose.

when I got my 01, it had 232,xxx on it. had to put tires on it, but it still runs great. I would not worry about the miles if it was taken care of.

You garage queens crack me up 130k is not that bad looks like very nice well taken car of car if it has no EBCM problems it's worth the money. I just sold a 01 with 157k for 13,500 it was in better shape than most 80k cars I've seen! I just bought a 00 with 118k that is in great shape. You guys that pay all the money for low miles and let them sit in the garage are missing out.

If you like it and it all checks out, offer the $10K - it can't hurt to ask. You can always go up if you really want the car.

I basically bought the same car about a year ago for 11,500. It was a bone stock '98, black, six speed, with chrome thin spokes, and 125k miles.
I would say that price is a good starting point. Just check it out very thoroughly, and run a carfax on the vin, or post it up on here, I think a couple forum members can check vehicle history for you for free. If it's clean, mechanically sound and accident free, I would say go for it.
Before negotiating a price study up on the common C5 problem areas, bad oil sender, stripped headlight gears, wobbling harmonic balancer, delaminating door panels, sliding seats... the list goes on.. use all this information to your advantage and you could come out with a pretty good deal.
