Default Caliper painting - Duplicolor or G2?

I have been pricing this and I noticed that G2 is about 60% more expensive than Duplicolor. Can I please get some input from those of you who have used either of them? Do they still look good a year or 2 or 3 later?

How difficult is it to do?

How many calipers can you do with each kit?

Thanks a bunch!

Don't quote me, but I believe the G2 needs to be mixed with reactor, etc. Duplicolor requires no mixing.

Default Brush on Duplicolor still going strong after 5+ years

Did the calipers when changing front and rear pads. Unbolted calipers but left brake lines on so no bleeding required. Used all their brake clean and about another can and a brush and really cleaned off the crud before painting.
Did about 5 coats, one right after another with maybe 20 minutes dry time in between. One or 2 coats looks bad, 4 or 5 looks great. Finished remounting calipers and did a little touch up where I just nicked the paint.
Finished the CORVETTE logo with white paint. Still looks great. Got the red paint on my Sebring Silver C5 and looks like Z06 calipers.
Can't beat the price either. About $15. Have enough paint left to do whole job again. Go for it. BIGHANK

Duplicolor is really easy to use. Plus it has lasted four plus years on the set of calipers I used it on. Just scuff up calipers and spray.

I also used the Duplicolor brush on WITHOUT removing the wheels on my Xterra, and tho' it's only one coat right now, it's doing great.

I used duplicolor. Still looks fresh 2 years later. I also applied several coats. (3-4) I put chapstick on the Corvette letters, then scraped the paint off with a utility knife. Then sanded them with fine sandpaper to polish up the aluminum.

I used Folia Tech on my C5 - it's an epoxy based system and has held up very well.

I used Duplicolor on the brackets for my DD and have not been real pleased with it. It has not held up well and I have had to touch up a lot of areas since I first put it on. But, that's just my experience with it.

Default Mind if I hijack?

Think you got ur answer, so I guess I'll go ahead and hijack your thread. Anyone paint their calipers blue? I'm getting ready to try it (duplicolor), and would like to see some pics.

I thought about doing blue my self, but wasn't very sure about it.
Ended up with red. It looks ok I guess.

Although I have a Torch Red '97, I am tempted to try yellow of all colors. I would do the letters in red. I think a bold contrast would really pop.

I believe my brother painted blue calipers on one of his cars. I just emailed him for pix. They did look nice.

I like the yellow calipers w/ red body. Mine has red ones already.

I used duplicolor a few years ago. Painted the entire caliper then used sandpaper to sand the paint off the lettering so it looks like the z06 calipers.

Here you go Alan, pix of my brothers work. Don't remember which car it's on, but you can see how it looks. (oops, its a Kia Rondo)

I block sanded the letters and painted with the duplicolor. Used a razor blade to take the paint off the lettering. It worked easier than I thought it would. Looks good too.

Used G2 originally. It's harder than regular paint so it doesn't flake off easily....but it does fade like regular paint.
