Rather than a spring on the underside of the trunk lid, why not replace the rubber stoppers with better rubber stoppers that are taller?? The spring idea sounds like a great idea, but as mentioned, might not be the most attractive looking "mod"

On my Z06, I have to wedge my fingers on the left side to get the damn thing open.
That, or I press the trunk release button while still inside the car and then close the door. Then, there is a larger gap that I can easily open. Silly GM!
Is enough pressure created to "push" trunk lid/hatch up, so it isn't as flush as it would be without the spring?
I'm curious to see if it still allows the trunk/hatch to close as tightly as it normally does.

Just ordered one from your fleabay store. It's for my C5 coupe. When I next uncover the C6 vert I will see if it needs one as well. I don't remember it having a problem but could be wrong.

im waiting on mine ,should have it soon ,ordered it from e bay.also bought the lmc5 from e bay also.just checked ,should be at my door in the morning,cant wait to install it,i go in my trunk 2 to 3 times a day.
