Default Anyone have a C5 and C6 shift ****? A4 **** adapter issue?

Hey dudes,
I have an aftermarket shift **** (8 ball with skull in it), but am skeptical that it is a C5 **** since it won't fit on my A4 **** adapter I bought from Zip (many years ago). Unless Zip's adapter was only made for their *****.

All I really want to know is if the **** is for a C5 or C6, is the opening at the bottom a different size for C5 and C6?

I also have the zip adapter and a black 8 ball with skull in it, purchased from a forum vendor some time ago. Mine works fine together...sorry I can't give you any info on if the C5 and C6 have different threads.

C5 ***** screw on without the need for a set screw. C6 ***** have a small set screw on the base of the ****. If your **** has a set screw hole it is most likely for a C6.

If I understand you correctly, you have an A4 tranny and you want to put an aftermarket shift **** on, right? If so, the adapter is standard to thread onto the stock shifter, 18 mm I think, and will accept any automatic shift **** without a button on top. You have to push down on the shifter to change gears, which you will quickly get used to, as opposed to thumbing the shift button on the stock shift ****. Also, the whole assembly is slightly taller than stock, which some people don't like.
