What happened to the wave?
When I owned my C4 fellow C4 Vette owners would always wave. I have had my '04 C5 Vert for 2 years now. Why don't C5 owners wave? I find it rude but then again maybe I am old school.

Been waving my freakin arm off for decades of riding bikes. I'm getting pretty sick and tired of people getting their feelings hurt because some stranger who happens to ride/drive the same vehicle doesn't wave back.
Next thing I'm expecting to hear is how come someone doesn't wave back cause they have the same Toaster!
Can't people just deal with what they got and quite depending on strangers to wave back at them?
There's always gonna be that one last guy no one picks for their team.

What wave? Sorry you find it rude, I hope you arn't losing sleep over it.
I always wave, If I don't get a wave it is no big deal.

Well it's dead in this part of the country.
I've owned Vettes for over 30 years, and back with my 1st one, 90% of vettes waved. now it has completly reversed, and MAYBE 10% wave back.
For those of you that don't think it's a big deal, and post that the ones that do are "whining" then BINGO, I think we found the problem

it bothered me for a while until I noticed a couple of things.
1) New (C6) owners don't really know about the Wave.
2) Corvette owner that drive with their AC on, windows up, and top on, can't stick out their hands fast enough.
I drive around Hawaii with my top down everywhere I go so I am also ready with the Wave... The AC, coupe driver, can only put the Wave in their windshield which is sometimes hard to see...
Save the Wave....

Some wave, some don't. Most nOObs have no clue what's going on when someone in another Vette waves to them. I got a blank look from a C6 driver the other day.

I get served here and there, but today got a wave from a very attractive (from shoulders up)and somewhat younger woman today driving a silver vert w/black top. Both a rare find especially up here in GB WI.

Getting a wave seems to be a hit or miss thing anymore. I have noticed more and more C5 and C6 owners that do not return waves. But, IMO, it's their loss.

I waved to a C6 today near the beach and got a very nice wave back. My girlfriend burst out laughing saying I was a dork. I'm sure the guy's lady was saying the same thing lol.
There were like 5 Porsches around us and none of them were waving to each other. It's nice to feel the love.

I always wave, and get a return wave about 40% of the time. I have owned my Vette for abou 2 yrs now and knew about the wave long before actual ownership. It seem that some people buy the newer Vettes for the style / cost and don't know or have much interest in its history or following.
