Mine is an '04. Bought in April of 2009 with 6,600 miles. 18,000 miles now.

2004 is probably the best of the C5's. you got a great value. I have always liked Magnetic Red metallic and thought GM was crazy to drop that color in 2005. Check for my pics tomorrow. My 99 is brand new.

Nice looking car Mike, looking forward to seeing those sunshine pix!

There are a few great low-mileage cars out there, I just got an '04 LeMans Commemorative Edition Convertible with 1,316 miles, 2 weeks ago today. BUT, I'm still waiting on the transport company to pickup it up in Minnesota and deliver it to me in Colorado, and if they don't get it at least on the road by the end of next week, I think I'm gonna have a nervous conniption in somebody's face at that company. That will be 3 weeks I'll have been waiting, and there IS a limit to one's patience, after all...

Nah, I'll survive, that "new car smell" is worth waiting for, and the low mileage worth preserving until I can enjoy it in the mountains. So bro, go enjoy the holiday weekend in yours, I'm officially jealous of all you guys who have your beautiful C5 Vettes in hand!

Best regards,

Thanks Mike! I'm gonna give these guys through next week, and if they don't get it at least scheduled, I'll ask for my money back and give your referral a call. I got duped into thinking this outfit had their own car transport trucks, and now it looks like they're just a broker. We'll see after next week how it turns out, but I feel ripped off or deceived, at best. Thanks again!

Best regards,

You should have posted a "MISSION ACCOMPLISHED" on your garage wall!

I love those guys. You can still find C3's with less than 40K on them if you look. A member here posted a pic of his parents C3, a year or so ago, and it still has less then 40K on it.

Knowing I could find an 04 Z06 in 2025 with less than 60k or so on it is amazing to me.

They lose their *** on them in the long run, dollars wise, but if they enjoy them through the years who am I to complain.

I find it part of the heritage and tradition. But I see your point. I couldn't let it sit. I thought I would only put 6K on mine this year. I already have 6K and it just now July. But 2700 was the Hot rod Power Tour.

Some of us just like getting into a "new" car every time we drive, albeit, we don't drive them much...but to each their own.

Congratulations. What a beautiful car. You done good.

This coming from another old gentleman who has a "new" C5 in his climate controlled garage. I have personally taken the depreciation hit for the next owner!

But, seriously, enjoy that car to the max. I'm very happy for you.

Mike,

I'll be looking forward to an opportunity to see this one in person. You know my taste in cars and I love this one. In my opinion, there is no substitute for low miles. You simply cannot put a car back into the condition of a low mileage car without spending an arm and a leg.

Congratulations, I remember the earlier thread, and it's great to see that it all worked out.

She really pops in the sun, Mike! I also like the "different" exhaust. I have a different set of pipes waiting for mine, too. Sometimes, different is good; like old, but good as new. Hahaha... Enjoy, enjoy, ENJOY!!!

Original exhaust with two special Chrome pieces bolted on. Previous owner put them on. I like it.
