I only park where I can see the car when I sit down for coffee, and when at Wal-mart the service department has a space for me and they watch it. Most places I frequent know me and my car and I usually get the best places. No double space parking for me. I am very courteous to others and am very careful about opening doors.

But I'm in a fairly small town and most people know me as "Sarge" or "Rick" and I'm always armed.

Find a video camera and park in line with it. Park at the end of the parking spot line ups and try to have it where the car that parks next to you parks with the passenger door tword your car.

But then again my car was just "customized" by some a$$hat in a hotel parking lot, so what do I know...

I usually try to park next to a curb so that covers at least one side but I try not to draw attention to my car by parking way out. But then again you are lucky to get a parking space close up at walmart and you just take whatever you can get at school so I dont even worry about it.

I always park as far away as possible and take up two spots. Once while on a road trip to Baltimore I recieved a note on my windshield that said "Nice car but you park like a Deuche Bag". I just laughed and thew the note on the ground and drove away smiling.....

Me too Papas... I don't always take two spots, but if I'm out in the "south forty" surrounded by empty spots, I can't imagine why anyone could be offended if I use two of them. It's not like I used the last two spots in the lot.

I think maybe juvenile jealousy might be at work there... like the ^#*^!@*$# that keyed Razzputin's ride.

if you park by a curb that side is safe. most cars have one person in them, so further more i also like to park by the curb with my passenger side by it (the little tree islands in big parking lots). this keeps that side from getting hit and when a car parks beside me on the other side there drivers side is away from me, meaning if one person then no doors are by me. I also try to avoid being near shopping cart returns or areas where stray carts have been left.

I usually park away from everyone else and always on an end spot if I can find one. And I pull as far over in the space as I can to leave room for the car next to me to open their doors without the chance of hitting mine (provided the park properly in their space). I never take up two spaces - just invites trouble IMO.

I don't. Unless it's a car show or Vette related activity.

I park all my cars at the back of the parking lot. I don't want door ding in any of them.

The only time I park mine anywhere is at a cruise night or a car show.

Same here - Love those spots where I can park next to curb. I do try to part away from the masses and carts, but I don't take up two spots.

I always surround my car with safety cones and crime scene tape when I park.
