Default What aftermarket exhaust do you prefer?

Ok guys I'm at a point where I want more sound out out of my Z. I don't autocross or drag race it. I do drive the car on nice days and sometimes TOUCH IT while driving along. I want a nice deep rumble without being too overly loud. I've been looking at GHL and magnaflow.
What do Z drivers prefer?

Stephon,

Check out the Stainless Works Systems

You can't really beat the build quality, and they are made right here in the USA
with high quality 304 Stainless Steel, not that cheap China bought SS some companies are making their stuff with...
http://www.customcorvetteaccessories...ksexhaust.html

Corsa has great offerings too, and they are made in the USA too
http://www.customcorvetteaccessories...saexhaust.html

Both are famous for having no drone

Peace
Chip

Borla Stingers for me, hands down. Everything else sounds raspy to me, and if it doesn't sound raspy, it crackles and pops like glasspacks when decelerating. Yuck. Some of the popular systems sound like loose nails are inside a tin can when you rev the car. Some sound like a stock muffler with holes drilled into it. For me, the Borlas sounded the closest to the old "5.0L w/Flowmasters" sound I always loved.

Skip the axle back and get some headers (I run the LG super pros) with the high flow cats or no cats X-Pipe throught the stock Titanium and it sounds awesome! Thats what I have and love it. I also put the electric cut outs in if I really want to be loud!!

Deep and not loud; Magnaflow
Perfect sound; GHL Magnums

I have to second the B&B prt for all around sound and volume. If you are "special" like some of us however, B&B bullets

I like my XSPower axleback. Good combo IMO: great looking quad tips, good volume level without being crazy, affordable, and no drone as far as I can tell. Mine is the 2.5", not sure but only the new 3" may be plentiful currently.

This first one is kind of a in-car exhaust demo:

Outside the car 1:

Outside the car 2 - ended up more repetitive than I intended, but I like the second cam footage of the speedo that I overlayed:

Are you still on the Stock manifolds or have you done LTs already?

On stock manifolds the Borla stingers are perfect. Once I went to LTs they were a bit too loud for a daily driver. Sounded fantastic but, gave me a headache on a long trip.

Now on my Z I'm very happy with LTs, catless X and stock Ti.

Love the sound of my LG PROS, 3" Xpipe, catless with the
stock TI's. When the procharger winds up it makes great
sound. I had the same set-up but with Borla Stingers(quad
tips), and it had an amazingly evil note. Sent women and young
children running in fear and police running to get me, but it
was just too loud for daily driving.
If you go with the stock TI's with headers, you'll also get a nice
performance bump.

Default What aftermarket exhaust do you prefer?

Thanks for all the good input so far guys. To give a little more background on the car, it still has stock manifolds,a vararam, and a predator tune in it. I've also upgraded the wheels to an 18/19 setup. It also has a foam over carpet truck partition. I wanted to separate the space and calm the noise of the old Goodyears not the exhaust. Right now I don't have plans for L/T's , but that too may change as time goes on. Right now I just want more rumble.

I have Corsas, and would switch to GHLs if they would have made them with the Daytona tips I have. Kind of dumb reason to buy that brand, but I really love the two huge ovals that match the tailights. That said, the Corsa system is hardly a penalty box, sound-wise. It's great, but higher pitched, and GHL has a great low rumble without being obnoxious, like B&B Bullets.
