Default Any Opinions on Pilot Sport A/S Plus ZP(Ultra High Performance All-Season)

Anyone running these tires.

Looking for good all around tires and I will be taking trips, so I want Run Flats.

CA in the sun, rain and mountains (never in the snow)

Appreciate the help.

I put these on my wifes '03 vert. Nice all around tire with the piece of mind of a runflat.

Night and day performance compared to the Goodyears too.

Do not have these tires on my Vette, but do have the A/S Plus tires on my DD (non runflats). I'm very pleased with them so far. I know there are a lot of forum members that run these tires - and I haven't read any negative reviews so far.

there are a million threads about these...
i have these and love them. most people who have these LOVE them
most threads you see with these are people trying to decide if they want these or another tie.. and when they pick these they are happy.

almost 1.5 years and still on the same set. all conditions great.. cant go wrong with them imo

Good luck!

Thanks everyone for your responses. These tires will be going on tomorrow. Just bought the car 1999 Coupe with 28,000 miles. It still has the original tires on it.

The car has factory Magnesium Wheels, any concerns I should have about the tires installation? Things I need to watch out for? I noticed they have stick on weights.

Make sure the shop you take it too is familiar with lifting C5's and make sure YOU have a set of lifting pucks just in case the shop doesn't.

I just had my wheels swapped out for new ones and i had to insert my own pucks so they can lift the car. Needless to say I stood over the installer through out the entire process. As a matter of fact, the shop Manager insisted i do so. "You Corvette Owners are a funny picky bunch" was his comment.

And yes........Weights are stuck on !

Do you know if your tire pressure sensors are original? You might want to have those swapped out while the new tires are being installed. Save you the hassle of having them broken down in the near future as the sensors start to fail.

Good luck with you new tire choice.

Thanks for the feedback. They are original, I'll see if I have time to pick them up today.

I like mine! I drive winter and summer rain or shine. No issues. Good traction. Smooth quiet ride.

Second set. First generation great tire wore out early. Second generation (Plus) again great tire for this vehicle, rears' wore out at 20, replaced under warranty pro rate, now close to 30 front 10 rear, fronts are wearing very well.

An excellent all season tire for the C5.

Wow, deja vu. I bought my '99 coupe a couple years ago, also with 28,000 miles and original tires. I just replaced the stock Good Years with the Michelin ZPs. Like night and day. I did alot of researching before replacing my tires. As far as run flats go, the Michelins are about as good as it gets. One thing I found out, if you want to stick wtih run flats, unfortunately, they all seem to only be available in stock sizes.

I suggest you get price quotes b-4 the deal. I had my runflats changed over to a new set of wheels at a Chev Dealer & got hosed! Looking back I should have had it done at a tire dealer that knows their stuff (runflat, chrome custom wheels etc).
