Default Z06 Newbie - Intro/Hello

Hey all,

Name is JB - new to Vette's and this forum. Just picked up a 2003 Z06. I live in the Bay Area, CA.

In a nutshell, I'm freshly married...more kids...and at 40 y/o, it was time to give up roadracing (crashing) motorcycles. My consolation prize was "permission" to buy another cage. Man, I don't know why it took me so long to get into Vette's.

The Z06 has 29k miles and some nice work done to it - ported/polished/shaved heads, .600 cam, headers, TB, Calloway Honker, Tune. I realize that if I have to "settle" for a Z, my life can't be that bad.

Anyhow, hello to all, great forum and thanks in advance for your help!

MotoJB

Welcome to the Forum from the Sacramento area.

I also have an 03 Z06 (although much tamer) and could not be happier.

Make sure you check the Events tab and find some cruises to go on. There's a nice little Corvette show coming up May 21st in Rio Vista, CA. Should be a sweet little cruise from the bay area.

Hope to see you there.

Thanks, will do...and I'm already registered for the Abel Chevy Corvette show! I work fast. I plan on being there, with some additional mods completed by then.

For Sale Ad with Claimed HP

I will by dyno'ing it myself at some point. Until then, it's 463 RWHP!
Looking at the description in that ad, I hope you have a smog guy. Clearly the seller did. There is NO WAY that car will ever pass smog without some serious help ($$$).

Looks like you scored twice - great wife AND a great car!

Good luck getting it smogged though - the LT headers are gonna kill you on that deal.
