Default Bought a new to me 2002 Z06 with a LS3 hotcam

Well I found this car on eBay and it was in Tulsa,OK which is 550 miles away but the 480hp crate engine was calling my name explicitly knowing that they come with a 2yrs warranty.

At this point I need to get approved for a loan and get down there I woun't bore you with all the detals but short story it took 5days to get approvel on the loan so I had some time off work and took a plane trip up to Tulsa.

When I got there I looked at the front end for scraps and looked for leaks in the rear end/transmission from reading CF the car was just as clean under it as it was on top

Then I asked if they had proof of the LS3 then they showed me this folder that had recites showing that the motor was installed on 11-2010 at 59K wow this has more than 1yrs 24Kmiles warranty left on the engine.
Then more recites showing Dyno tunning and new clutch new flywheel new rotors and new pads with all labor done in dealerships totaling up to $16,000.00.
Yes heart clenching isn't it.
It was time for a test drive man was this car fast I have nevt drove a Z06 so I have no compairation but the throttle responce was mind blowing, not to add you can roast tires in any speed up to 4th gear.
The handling was so tight WOW
Yes I bought this car and drove it home.

WOW with great milage as well

Good story. Sounds like you got a gem.

Now it's time to change your name to "C5Zhappy".

Don't change your forum name. If I had done that I never would have got the 10 year badge.

Thank's Paul I am staying with C4happy becuse that was my frist corvette and I hope to pass it down to one of my sons one day. I know that some of the C5 people hate the c4 but without my C4 I would have never have gotten the C5.

Not to be a jerk - but a cammed LS3 should make way more power than that. Those are near-stock LS3 numbers

Just to be clear, does your Z06 have the LS6 with an LS3 cam?

Or does it have an LS6 with an LS3 Hot cam?

Or does it have an LS3 with a Hot Cam?

It was not very clear in your first post.

Congrats on your great purchase.

I doubt if the car has any other mods than the motor swap. Stock airbox, stock exhaust would leave quite a few horsies in the barn.

Congrats on your great purchase.
It is a crate engine offered my GM Performance Parts 19213229 LS3 Crate Engine 376 Cubic Inches, 480 Horsepower is the paper work that I have from a dealership and it has a vortex rammer cold air induction system

LS Hot Cam (P/N 88958733) This cam specs out with .525" intake and exhaust valve lift. Duration (@ .050") is 219?ª intake and 228?ª exhaust

The exhaust looks new and has a H pipe just forward of the transmission
I was a little disappointed in the HP numbers unless they was running the traction control while on the dyno but who knows all i know is you can light up the rear tries at will through out the 1-4 gears 5-6 it will hook up but I have firestone firehawk tries that doesn't stick very well
