Default Show us your fully painted gloss/flat black BUTT

I've never been a big fan of the blacked out rear lower fascia, however, the full treatment of the C5 rear end is growing on me...let's see some good pics and tell us a story about how you did it, or had it done, and any tips on getting a proper paint job that ends right at the corners.

Thanks man It was kinda scary to do but I'm glad I did it. It gets lots of looks and it is usually a good conversation piece. LOL

Looks really good. I've been thinking about that on my torch red FRC and adding a black portion along the bottom on the sides just to break up all the red... Yours came out very nice.

Yes, I left a border 3/8ths masking tape around the edge. I didnt paint it myself, my friend who was a painter sprayed it for me.

Also, did you use any particular gloss black, like maybe the C5 black paint, or another GM code? At what point did your friend remove the masking tape for the border...while paint was still drying, or afterward? thanks again
