I take it that this just plugs into the 9006 harness, mount the ballast, and twist the capsule into the stock housing? (plug and play)
I have OEM HID on my DD, I thought the headlights were broke when I first drove it at night.
Ordered mine, hopefully I can install it without too much hassle.

Has anyone installed there HID Low Beams? How do you like the new HID's? Any regrets? How did the installation go and how long did it take? Did you order and install the optional resistor too?

Install took around 3 hours for me. Difficult part was taking the HID bulb and trying to put it in the socket without the bulb touching anything. I removed the light shroud, painted cover and the cover support below it. You need thin arms especially trying to get the bulb in there without scratching the bulb on the housing around the socket hole.

I've been too busy to figure out where to mount the ballasts, etc. Does anyone have pics or a link to a detailed install?
If its left up to me, I'll have it apart for 3 weeks still scratching my head.

The install would have gone much easier if they would have added just 3-4 inches to the wire extensions. I chose to mount the Ballasts on the frame rail on the radiator side. the trouble is drilling a small hole and tapping it down in there. the lights are great, much brighter than stock bulbs, the pattern with the stock glass isnt the best but still better than stock. well worth the work and cost. you really do need small hands for this one.

I mounted the ballast right behind the bucket on the plastic cover above the tire. There is just enough clearance for the hood.
Re aim the headlights after installing it, or you will be blinding oncoming traffic. Spray WD40 on the adjust nuts before you turn it, or you will break them.
