Big Brake Options for "standard" CCW wheels?
Hello all-
So I was wondering. I'm looking around at possible brake upgrades for the future for my c5 coupe. I have 19x10(front) and 19x11(rear) CCW SP16a's. I have been running these wheels for a while now. I also have magnsium factory upgrade stockers sitting in the garage.
I never requested any backspacing change or anything like that when I ordered my CCWs and I was wondering what my options are as far as possible big-brake upgrades. Some of the kits I was looking at include:
-C6Z stock brake kit for C5
-stoptech big brake.
Honestly wondering what kinds of brake options I could go with on my car without changing rims. I haven't tracked it much, but do some spirited street driving, and 1/4mile tracking. Mainly looking at slotted rotors for some oval/autocross tracking down the road potentially.
What are my brake upgrade options for "stock" 19x10, 19x11 CCWs?
Thanks

I'm almost positive that the C6Z and Stoptech will not fit. The Wilwood kit should fit since it works behind OEM C5Z rims. The Movit big brake kit from Germany will also work, but I'm not sure if they have a US distributor.

Don't think they will fit unless you requested the BBK fitment when you bought the wheels. It's the main reason I sold my old 505a's and went with T140's. When I bought the new CCW wheels, I specifically asked John whether they would clear the Stoptech BBK. Still worth asking John though

if you cant find any "big" brakes that fit, c6 z51 brakes are a nice upsize that should clear.

I just recently had the same converstaion with John at CCW. He suggested that I go with the C6 Z51 rotors (with the required C6 Z51 caliper mounting brackets). The rotors are PowerSlot. This is what I got from TPS Motorsports

I called CCW to order 10 and 11s and told them I was going BBK too
they told me the largest 18/18 sizes that would work would be 9.5" and 10.5"
they didn't mention the C6 Z51 option to me

ET- Do you know if they make rotors just like that in slotted instead of cross drilled?? I love how the size of the rear discs really fills the wheel. Would look great on my CCW SP16a's Another thing to add to my wishlist lol

Baer does make it in a slotted configuration but it's special order only. A cheaper option is to just go with our C6Z51 slotted option.... it's a 1 piece rotor BUT the price is 1/3 the price of the Baers.
Front Z51 C6 Slotted Rotor
REAR Z51 C6 Slotted Rotor
