Plans/instructions to build drive-on ramps
I have some extra lumber laying around, and was considering building ramps of some sort to lift the car easily and quickly for minor maintenance/cleaning issues.
I seem to remember seeing plans and pictures here in the past of others' homemade ramps.
If someone could point me in the right direction toward those threads, I would sure appreciate it.
Or, if this idea is foolish and I'm sure to injure myself, I would appreciate knowing that too.

Burning Brakes
Just buy some Race Ramps in the extended length and call it a day. They are long, very low angle for easy approach even on lowered car, light, and can be easily stored. Just my suggestion, was a very good purchase for me.

I bought a pair from a Forum Member.....but be aware Race Ramps are pricey......well worth it in my opinion.

Got to love this forum - why spend hundreds of dollars when you can come here and get detailed plans and do the work yourself for a fraction of the cost.

I made my 3-level ramps (could, and may, go 4 in the future) out of solid 2X12s. But I realized if I made them in one piece they would be very heavy and awkward to handle. So I made them "modular".
The two upper levels use of course shorter boards so I screwed them together. Then drilled two holes a couple feet apart in the center of the lower/longest board and mounted bolts sticking up, with the heads countersunk underneath. Matching holes drilled in the underside of the mid-level board allows me to "break down" each ramp for easier carrying. Of course, I weigh 130 pounds and am over 60 years old so you young 200-pound studs may not need to go to this trouble.
